Tappet Adjuster Set, Allen Head,Triumph Twins to 1978 (not C range) 1939-78*

This is a full set of four new tappet adjusters and nuts to fit all the capacities of pre-unit Triumph twin-cylinder models from 1939 to 1962 ie 3T, 5T, T100, 6T, T110, T120 and TR6 and also the unit construction 650 & 750 twins from 1963 to mid 1978 (up to engine number 02689) ie TR6, 6T, T120, TR& and T140.

They have an allen socket head which makes accurate adjustment easier than the pegs on the original type and a mushroom head on the operating end, this drastically reduces the pocketing of the valve stem top which can be a problem with the standard type. They are also lighter than standard, so useful in reducing valve train weight if you are tuning for speed, they are quieter in operation and can prolong valve guide life. They have a 5/16 CEI thread.

*Please note they don't fit the unit construction 350 and 500 models or the 1978 (from engine number 02690) 750 models, there is a different set for these machines, please see our other listings.

They are correctly hardened, copper plated and made in England.

Please note:  if fitting to an assembled engine that you have to fit to the rockers from underneath due to the mushroom heads, this will mean removing the rocker boxes.

Original part numbers (that these replace) was 70-1513 & 70-0470.
