Triumph changed their part numbering system in 1972 by dropping the letter prefix and replacing it with a two-number prefix. You can convert an old-style part number from an old parts book to the later type which is used by parts dealers. Conversion table below.
D = 60-
E (4 figure number or less) = 70-
E (5 figure) = 71-
F (4 figure or less) = 82-
F (5 figure) = 83-
H = 97-
S = 21-
T = 57-
W = 37-
This conversion will work for 98% of old Triumph part numbers but there are some exceptions, if in doubt please contact us at sales@thunderbirdspares.co.uk with the old part number and description and we will clarify. |
