Ignition Coil 6v, Triumph and BSA to '67, 750 1979-85

This is a new 6 volt ignition coil as fitted to all the unit construction Triumph and BSA models up to 1967 (1964 in some cases as some models went 12v earlier, check your parts list), also 750 Triumphs from 1979-85 that used the Lucas Rita electronic ignition and needed a 6v coil. They are an imported coil but they are dimensionally correct (40mm in diameter) and work well. They fit :

Triumph:

all the 350 and 500's unit models (not energy transfer models with no battery) usually up to 1967

650 unit twins up to 1964 (except competition models with the energy transfer system and no battery).

750 T140/TR7 from 1979-85 that used the Lucas Rita electronic ignition

BSA:

C11G, C12 and C15 up to 1964

B31 and B33 coil ignition models

B40 up to 1964

A50 up to 1967

A65 usually up to 1964

They will also work on earlier models that used 6v but you may have to shim out the coil bracket as these later coils were slimmer.

They will fit many other models that use a 6v coil, check the size of your old coil, if it will fit and it uses a battery it will work.

Original Lucas number was 47275

Dimensions: diameter of coil body 40mm, total length 111mm.
